My inspiration & connection with reggae runs deep, as I lived in Jamaica with my dad~ Les Souci~ when I was 3 & 8 years young ~ Dad told me that we sat across the fire from Bob Marley when I was "tree"(3)... Dad helped produce Reggae Sunsplash, so lil' "Maija fyah" up all night dancin' & singin', swimming in the sea~ in the rain ~ Fire-cooked meals at Roots Bamboo
(I would eat first before the hot peppers were added :) Dad is now our Space~manager:)
As one of his songs~ Broken Glass, goes "...& when little Maija started singin' it~ Ratti's song,
